Please help me! Can't boot my High Sierra installer partition i have a fully working Sierra with ivy bridge cpu and imac smbios with working powermanagement (iMac SMBIOS) but when i trying boot to high sierra installer i have this error messages:
unsupported cpu for reporter and kextd stall "AppleACPICPU"
What is this??? Sierra booting fine!
I want CLEAN High Sierra install with APFS!!!

Cannot access Windows 10 after installing Mac OS High Sierra

Hello guys,

I successfully installed Mac OS High Sierra on my desktop PC which is using Windows 10.
After installing, Windows 10 boot appears in Clover Boot Management, but whenever I selected Windows 10, the PC is reset.
I can only boot into Mac OS High Sierra.

Moreover, there are many boot entries in Clover Boot Manager, so how can I remove unnecessary boot entries?

P/S: Mac OS and Windows 10 are installed in the same HDD, but different partition, Windows 10 is set uefi boot....

High Sierra - Graphic Lag with 1080

Hey guys,

Since when I updated to High Sierra (I updated as soon as it was released), I have been experiencing some lag (moving windows, browsing, minimizing windows) even when I only have Mail, Safari and Chrome open.

Very rarely I also see some graphic artifacts, which go away after a minute or so...

I have an EVGA GTX1080, the WebDriver are installed correctly and I should have graphic acceleration (I see UI transparency)

Kexts I currently have: AppleIntelE1000e,...

LG UltraFine 5K Build

I'm interested in building a Hackintosh to support the new LG UltraFine 5K display. It's on the November Buyers Guide too.

It uses Thunderbolt 3 over a USB C style connection to drive the display over 1 cable along with a USB C Hub, speakers, and a web camera.

What's the recommended CustoMac Pro build that would be needed to use this...

I'm running an Asus RX560-4GB under 10.13.2.
It's working fine by using Lilu+WhateverGreen kext, however I found an issue that may impact its performance.
The Geekbench 4 score will be 8xxxx after a fresh boot, the score will drop to 2xxxx if I played any video by IINA or MplayerX.
Then the score will be kept as 2xxxx until next reboot. Same issue also happens on CINEBENCH score. But CPU score is not changed.
I guess during playing the video, system must have called some kext which may...

Hi Guys,

After giving up trying to get my High Sierra build to sleep, I have been shutting down over night for the last couple months. But decided to re visit it as its so frustrating after my El Capitan build used to work just fine!

So upgraded to latest version os macos (10.13.2) with no real issues, installed latest NV web driver, and latest verions of apfs / lilu kexts etc.

Running a GTX980TI (EVGA)

I have discovered that if if sleep the compute via the apple menu, it will sleep ,...

Ongoing sleep issues... Wont sleep for long periods..

Hi,
I wonder if a problematic kext can cause hardware damage in a gpu....
I have an intel gma X3100 laptop that was working good with osx lion .
I want to update it a little bit to osx Mountain Lion .
All went fine until i try to use Firefox. When I open Firefox and visit a page , instead of javascript i see GPU distortion image.
Also after I try to open a PDF in Firefox I see the same distortion image again.
Finally I install chrome , and chrome works perfectly fine. ....

Ok, this is my first shot at a guide, so it might suck. Hopefully it doesn't. But it might.

So, this is not a all-encompassing start to finish guide. This assumes you're at the point where you're trying to boot a macOS Sierra thumb drive (or the upgrade file on your boot drive if you have El Capitan working on your rig), and are using xnu power management.

Requirements for this guide:
  • A motherboard with either an X99 or C610 series chipset.
  • A Haswell-E, Broadwell-E, Xeon V3...

Hello guys, I have a little problem.

Yesterday my electricity suddenly went down as I was working on my Hackintosh. When I started it today and headed to clover bootloader and my Hackintosh was not available/visible in there.

I'm worried, did it happen to someone else?

Well hello folks,

so I try to get my first hackintosh build to work. I used Tipps from this post:

I booted from the Stick and activated Debug mode in the Clover settings. Then I tried to install High Sierra.
On the first try the Apple Logo showed up and loaded complete, but after that it get stuck with the Apple Loading circle on black background. (hope you know what I mean)

Today I just received all my parts to build a Hackintosh, then I happened to notice the announcement of the release for the i7-8700K, and thought, "Uh oh, should I wait?" This machine will be used for video editing and having 6-cores would be really beneficial.

What's the rundown of the compatibility for the i7-8700k and Z370 Motherboards? Will that take some time?
