Hi everyone and anyone. Recently had a tragedy in that my Snow Leopard 10.6.8 build of the previous five plus years took a nose dive. In attempting to clone the drive, accidentally ERASED it. I was able to get to my storage and get my Snow Leopard disc from my Macbox set, downloaded iBoot 3.3 burned a CD of it. I recently installed 10.11.3 in an Optiplex 9020 using Clover without a hitch. Everything worked, including sound and sleep/wake using Clover boot flags. I updated to 10.11.6 last week and now the machine cannot handle sleep properly: it will sleep fine, but it will not wake up properly. Hi folks,

Can someone please educate me as to why an audio workstation needs dedicated graphics card?
Some of these cards are easily 400 Euro which we know is a lot of money in the studio. And Motherboards have onboard graphics. Not sure what the pros and cons are

Choppy animations (High Sierra, 8600K, GTX 1080)

Hi,
Trying to get my first build to function the way I like, but for some reason the animations are a bit choppy. As you can see in the video below, they are more or less smooth as long as there aren't any details that needs to get rescaled or what not.



ASRock Z370 Fatal1ty mITX/ac (replaced WiFi/BT with Broadcom BCM94352Z)
Intel i5 8600K
16GB DDR4 RAM
nVidia GTX 1080
a bunch of SSD drives

Currently, there is no direct way to install High Sierra on a newly created Fusion Drive. Basically, the installer forgets to create the Recovery Partition on the HDD of the Fusion Drive, rendering the system unable to boot after copying the installation files to disk. Clover comes up empty, with only the thumb drive with the High Sierra installer available if you didn't disconnect it.

Twice now I've used Unibeast (ver. 8.1.0) to build thumb drives to install High Sierra. I followed the directions exactly (including having only the latest OS X installer (the full one, freshly DLed from the App Store) in the /Applications folder. According to the log files, it was successful, and the USB drive was correctly formatted with two partitions.

And, also twice now, they both, when plugged into the newly assembled hackintosh/Customac box, the computer successfully booted from the...

IOGear Bluetooth 4.0 USB Micro Adapter must unplug / plug back in at boot

I didn't realize I had this issue until today, but my iogear bluetooth adapter doesn't appear to function well until I unplug and replug it back in after boot. Keyboard won't connect and trackpad goes all wonky, but if I unplug and plug it back in, golden and stable. USB 2 and 3 works great—got two drives plugged into atx case usb3 slots backing up right now.

Any idea what's going on here. Its really not a huge problem, but still kinda strange given that its on the buyer's guide.

I got 2 display with 2 port hdmi and dp. but i cant load high sierra when i connect both of them. if i connect any one of them, everything is alright. But i can connect another display after login into system, both of them work perfectly. i got no idea what going wrong. HELP GUYS. THX

Hello people,

I want to replace my motherboard but need an advice.
The purpose of replacing my board is loose connection on SATA-port.

I also need to buy new DDR4 modules because my actual motherboard is supporting only DDR3.

My wish would be a motherboard with Thunderbolt 3 connection (I'm not sure if there is a motherboard with TB3 or its just in Apple hardware) to use this port with fully 40Gbits (I know, it will has some problems due to hackintosh).

Enable Hotswapping/Hotplugging?

So, I have hot plugging enabled in my BIOS for the SATA port that I want to use for hotswapping/hotplugging, but when I boot up into OS X/macOS and turn on the drive while plugged into the hotplug/hotswap port, in System Profiler under SATA/SATA Express, it says the device is not a removable drive and not removable media.

So... it seems like there's an additional step I need to take for OS X/macOS to understand hotplugging/hotswapping? If so, what do I need to do?

Just swap out mobo?

Current specs are as follows. It's a Windows PC I'd like to create a dual-boot OSX with. I'm pretty sure I need to swap out the mobo but I'm not sure on RAM and SSD. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!
