can anyone help with this kernel panic?

Im on 10.15.7 - multiple rebooting will get past this - I have a feeling the issue is not the Focusritepcie driver but a problem with com.apple.iokit.IOPCIfamily (2.9). I just don't know enough to understand what Im seeing - would really appreciate some input

This thread is meant to be support/discussion for X299 motherboards :

it not only means ASUS X299 motherboards but also other brands such as GIGABYTE , ASROCK, EVGA, MSI (...)

The goal is to keep the support for these motherboards alive, publish updates, configurations, hardware, and so on.

It is the continuation of the previous threads.

All the support will be added and linked on my GitHub repo.

UPDATE: thanks to RehabMan. i assume the native NVRAM support is now available with AptioMemoryFix.efi on 100/200/300 series mobos.

BT and Airdrop not working - Migration from Clover to Opencore - BIG SUR

Hi,

after converting to opencore from clover an installing Big Sur. I have problems with bluetooth and airdrop connection.

When there was clover bootloader and i was loading opencore bootloader from flashdrive - everything was working normally. But after deleting clover and copying EFI from USB stick to SSD EFI - Bluetooth stopped working/airdrop also.

AIRDROP - I can see other devices but when i pres to send it does nothing.

Bluetooth is showing in prefference pane and i can see that...

I was having some trouble with Mojave install on a GA-X58A-UD3R (rev. 2.0, FF), i7 980, gtx 770 rig. Halting on "waiting for root device". I realized I had a clone of vanilla install on a SSD kicking around, all updated and everything. Hmmm. I put it in the computer, booted with my Unibeast USB and I was in. - updated kexts
- added ApplePS2SmartTouchPad.kext to "system kexts" to be installed in /L/E for trackpad gesture support.

Hey y'all, am new here. :headbang:

Will be building my fourth* Hackintosh in a couple of weeks, am waiting on the case to arrive so I can get going on the build. I'm based in Japan, so prices are listed in Yen.

I hope it works with Big Sur! I'll be digging around here over the next few weeks to find everything I need, but I thought I'd start this thread just incase anyone is interested in my progress.

Clover Configurator > Custom Entries HELP

I would like to hide all partitions at clover boot screen and show only Macintosh and Windows 10 partitions. Clover boot screen is showing 6 partition. I have Windows UEFI installation and UEFI Mojave as HFS Install.

Me and numerous other people have tried to get Big Sur working on ASUS X99 Boards. MSR (CFG Lock) Patched or not, doesn't matter. RTC Patch or not, doesn't matter.

You will most likely get a CR2 Error, I have seen many threads discussing this error and nobody seems to be able to provide a solution to it. I asked on discord about it and after having tried many possibilities, here is his conclusion:

[FAILED] Radeon RX 6800 XT - Big Sur

Just got the card in the mail this morning.

It is replacing a 5700 XT which was working fine on Big Sur, OpenCore 63.

The rest of my system:

I7-8086k
MSI Z370I

The last system log shows a « PerfPowerService » error, unauthorized client on AMDRadeonX6000_AmdGpuWrangler in the pci-bridge@0 configuration.


I have tried the following so far:

- Forced my pci bus to 3x
- removed agdpmod=pikera, tried to re-add it, change definition to MacPro1,1 via board-id.
- Added an iGPU in the BIOS

These give you a DVI and HDMI output you can use for dual monitors. Works with all the most recent macOS versions including Big Sur OOB. A plug and play experience, the drivers are in macOS. I recently built a new Hack rig with Asus z490i gaming MB and i7-10700 by using OpenCore boot loader. I use Intel's built-in GPU as the sole display driver and I don't have a dedicated video card. I use a Samsung 27 inch TV as my monitor and connect my rig to it with an HDMI cable. The installation with OpenCore went fairly smooth. However, the audio via HDMI didn't work.
