X299 Big Sur Support

This thread is meant to be support/discussion for X299 motherboards :

it not only means ASUS X299 motherboards but also other brands such as GIGABYTE , ASROCK, EVGA, MSI (...)

The goal is to keep the support for these motherboards alive, publish updates, configurations, hardware, and so on.

It is the continuation of the previous threads.

All the support will be added and linked on my GitHub repo.

[SUCCESS] Catalina 10.15 on HP Elite 8300

Got a smoothly running (fresh install) of Catalina on the HP Elite 8300 (Core i7 using onboard GPU (non-discreet)). Everything works that I can tell (audio, usb, sleep, wake). The hard part was making a bootable USB with a properly configured Clover bootloader.

Installing the final version of Big Sur (11.0.1) on Dell Optiplex 9010 OpenCore 0.6.4 has been easy.

----Download full install macOS Big Sur in Appstore
Open System Preferences > Software Update > Check update and download
or download old version macOS

How to get old versions of macOS

If your Mac isn't compatible with the latest macOS, you might still be able to upgrade to an earlier macOS, such as macOS Catalina, Mojave, High Sierra, Sierra, or El Capitan.

Catalina on NUC10i7FNH/NUC10i7FNK (i7-10710U CPU ONLY)

Seems there are no solutions for this CPU. I have the NUC10i7FNH and boot always ends with "End Random Seed ++++"

I am posting this to see if anyone else has had any better success with this CPU or hopefully, these NUCs. I have tried every memory patching kext I can find. I am not sure the patched parts needed to make this work even exist yet.

Hello everyone! Today I want to share with you my success of installing maOS Big Sur on my HP ProBook 440 G6.
My specs are:
CPU: Intel Core I5 8265u 1,6 Ghz to 3,9 Ghz in TurboBoost mode.
GPU: Intel UHD 620 (AAPL,ig-platform-id 0900A53E, device-id A53E0000)
Audio: Realtek ALC 236 (layout-id 14, 0E000000 with this layout I have working Int speaker, int mic, headphones and external mic, so properly working combojack)
I checked all layouts for alc236, but stopped at 14...

10.15.7 working fine. Running the Big Sur installer keels over as shown below. No panic. The turning point appears to be:

latest catalina won't detect egpu connected to nvme

Hi, my egpu rx580 nitro+ 8Gb works plug&play in windows by in my new catalina instalation it isn't even detected. Everything on the system works perfectly with sleep and wake up and thunderbolt port as well.
My current machine is dell xps 9550 15 i7.
I've tried it with mojave before and the egpu it was listed in system overview but wasn't operational.

On my previous setup on asus rog g771jw and mojave rx580 it was working plug&play on nvme.

Do you know if its possible to make it work on my...

Hello! So I have an old hackintosh with a GA-Z77X-UD5H motherboard for which I want to upgrade the graphics card... and separately I'm planning my own first hackintosh build with an Asus Prime Z490-A. I want to put both on Big Sur.

I have never bought a GPU before, my old hackintosh was built for me back in 2013.
So I've spent the past month reading as much as I can about them.

Morning to all and thanks in advance for all solutions will be provided.
I am trying to boot from a USB key with High Sierra installer (followed the guideline).
I configured the clover config file following the Haswell Vanilla guide.
I disabled in the bios the lan wake up and the serial port. No more possibility to change other ....
Lenovo bios is basic.
Everytime I try to boot I receive the same error (see attachment) and the install process stuck.

I have a Lenovo ThinkStation D20 with 2x X5650 CPUs, 96GB RAM, a Quadro 2000 video card, and a 240GB HyperX Predator M.2 PCIe SSD drive.

Using the http://www.redmondpie.com/how-to-install-macos-sierra-hackintosh-on-pc-guide/ instructions as a guide, I was able to get Sierra installed to the SSD without any real issues. However, about 50% of the time while booting off the USB, the system would freeze during bootup.

Hp Probook 430 g4 can't patch battery

Hi,

My battery isn't detected by macOS so I got my DSDT.aml file (using linux) and tried to patch it in MaciASL using RehabMan's HP-ProBook-4x30s-DSDT-Patch, but when I appy the patch, 56 errors show up in compile section. I couldn't find any other patch that is close to my laptop model. Could anyone help me with it? Laptop model is HP Probook 430 g4 (i3-7100u, hd620) and I'm using OpenCore
