ASUS ROG GL503VS i7-7700HQ + GTX 1070

Hi guys, I want to know whether my laptop is compatible to build a Hackingtosh or not.
CPU:Intel core i7-7700HQ
GPU:Nvidia GTX 1070
Motherboard: the manufacturer is ASUS, but I can't find model name in msinfo32.

For Radeon RX 4XX/5XX standalone system, AMDRadeonX4250.kext (GVA support H264) does not support HEVC HW decode/encode, need edit AMDRadeonX4250.kext info.plist, copy below settings from AMDRadeonX5000.kext info.plist to fully enable HW HEVC support,

IOGVACodec
IOGVAHEVCDecode
IOGVAHEVCEncode
IOGVAVTCapabilities

The best is create a dummy kext injector (similar to verde.kext method) and place it into Clover/kext/Other folder.

Spoiler: I love it. For some reason it feels much more...don't know...friendly to the touch than Macbook Pro 2018. Somehow with the MBP I constantly feared breaking it (this might be because out of five I tried none lasted longer than two weeks before the keys began to malfunction). This laptop just feels friendly and sturdy. Plus it fits a 14" screen where MBP fits 13.3" and weighs the same, 1.37 kg.

I've tried to use this baby with Windows...

[Solved] No Shutdown or Reboot in Mojave

This Hack has no problem shutting down or rebooting when booted from High Sierra 10.13.6, but freezes at the spinning white wheel when I try shutting down or rebooting in Mojave. Everything is the same = config.plist, BIOS Settings, & Kexts. I've included my zipped EFI folder that I use in Mojave & High Sierra (I can boot from High Sierra from a USB 3.0 drive).
Please help, otherwise I may have to go back to HS full time.

The hardware in my Sig is what I'm currently using.

Overview

The purpose of this guide is to provide a step-by-step guide to install Mojave, High Sierra, Sierra, or El Capitan on the Kaby Lake Intel NUC7 series Intel NUC mini computers. My NUC7 is the NUC7i7BNH, although I expect the guide will work on other similar models. Preliminary support for the NUC8 "Bean Canyon" has also been added.

I installed with 8GB RAM (one stick), and an SM951/AHCI M.2 SSD. Recommend two sticks in dual-channel.

Can't Update From Settings / Combo Update | Reboot Back Into Previous Version

Dear gurus,

I'm currently on 10.14.3 as I can't update any further. Every time I try doing so, the system reboots and then proceeds to boot into macOS 10.14.3 again. I've tried enabling SIP in Clover and booting from a partition named 'Install macOS' subsequently, but all I get is a funny screen with purple lines and an extremely slow progress bar - to the point of its motion being virtually unnoticeable. Any ideas as to how to remedy this?

EDIT:
Now up and running. Problem was with installer wanting to do a firmware upgrade before installing. Stork suggested changing system definition to iMac 14,2 and installing with that and then changing it back to Mac Pro 5,1 (thanks, Stork). Did that and upgrade from High Sierra to Mojave went smoothly. APFS on SSD seems a bit faster than HFS+ on a platter drive; apps open and close quickly. So far, even with 12 apps running at once I have not seen the "spinning beachball" of system...

It's my understanding that the Intel HD 630 GPU has had issues in the past with sleep/wake glitches, mostly related to the number and type of ports being different on actual iMacs vs. PC motherboards. I need your help! I've done a fresh install of High Sierra where was the problem and now I updated to Mojave but the problem persist on a Thinkpad x240. I've installed everything what I found needed in the post-installation and everything seems to work fine except this.

After 10.14.5 Crash and restart when unattended

After I updated to 10.14.5 my hacintosh is constantly crashing when I am away from the machine.
Setup:
-i7 8700k
-Fatal1ty Z370 Professional Gaming i7
-32 GB RAM DDR 2400
-Samsung EVO 960 500GB (OSX), EVO 960 500GB, 3 x SATA 4TB drives

I do not have a custom SSDT but have applied all the USB port limits for 10.14.5.

The system has been stable on 10.14.4. I know there is an issue with many drives attached with available lanes. E.g. WIFI did not work until I disconnected one of the SATA...

When I connect HDMI cable to my hackintosh(other side is my 1080P TV), the hackintosh laptop reboot by itself. Found a similar issue from the forum and try to follow the instruction but no luck.

Please help to take a look on the problem.

so I tried to create a hackintosh from this nice laptop, I think i got far but still there are some things i don't know how to fix.

Specs:
- Intel Core i7 7700HQ Kaby Lake
- 1920x1080 IPS 144Hz G-sync
- NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 8GB GDDR5 (has only dedicated card)
- NVMe SSD 256GB PCIe PM961
- TB3/USB-C port

What works:
- Battery (ASUS-N55SL/Vivobook patch)
- CPU Power Management (XCPM)
- Audio - Speakers/Headphones/Internal Mic (AppleALC + CodecCommander + JackFix)

I've been trying my best to get 10.14.5 to work on my HP Spectre x360, but I'm running into issues with the Intel GPU (i7-8565U/UHD 620/Whiskey Lake) and I'm at my wits end at this point. I've gotten macOS to boot successfully and the keyboard and touchscreen working.

Hi, do all amd gpus are compatible with mac or only those that were used in macbook pros and imacs? I'm wondering because I'm about to buy vega 64 and if Radeon VII can be compatible with hackintosh OOB then I'd rather wait.
