I'm going to be setting up 6 monitors. For workflow and gaming in Windows. I currently have a Sapphire Vega 64. I was thinking about adding a second one but that seems like too much heat and power consumption.

Any suggestions for a single card to run 6 4k monitors? What's a good deal card setup? Dual RX 590?

I have a 1000 watt PSU.

[Solved] No Shutdown or Reboot in Mojave

This Hack has no problem shutting down or rebooting when booted from High Sierra 10.13.6, but freezes at the spinning white wheel when I try shutting down or rebooting in Mojave. Everything is the same = config.plist, BIOS Settings, & Kexts. I've included my zipped EFI folder that I use in Mojave & High Sierra (I can boot from High Sierra from a USB 3.0 drive).
Please help, otherwise I may have to go back to HS full time.

The hardware in my Sig is what I'm currently using.

Security update 2019-003 Hangs

Trying to update my high sierra build to 2019-003 security update.
I tried from app store, by downloading pkg package and by softwareupdate in terminal. When I restart I choose boot from install, it goes near the end and then hangs.
The error I get are:

kextd stall[1], 240s AppleACPICPU

and after 3 of those lines:

IOConsoleUsers: gIOScreenLockState 3, hs 0, bs 0, now 0, sm 0x0

I tried disabling web drivers from system preferences, I tried with nv_disable=1 at boot, I tried with nvidia...

Overview

The purpose of this guide is to provide a step-by-step guide to install Mojave, High Sierra, Sierra, or El Capitan on the Kaby Lake Intel NUC7 series Intel NUC mini computers. My NUC7 is the NUC7i7BNH, although I expect the guide will work on other similar models. Preliminary support for the NUC8 "Bean Canyon" has also been added.

I installed with 8GB RAM (one stick), and an SM951/AHCI M.2 SSD. Recommend two sticks in dual-channel.

I've seen so many failed laptop hard drives over the years that I always thought any movement while it is accessing data would essentially make it a brick, ready for the recycle bin. I need some help after my failing at properly installing Mojave. Firstly maybe to save your time from reading this I’ve made a OEM USB recovery of Windows before attempting to install Mojave. After making my recovery USB I deleted Disk 0 which is 1TB then made my way to install OSX with my flash drive. Disk 1 is 500GB with Windows on it. I have some problem with AppleALC patching. I could not get sound card working after config, build and inject the AppleALC. And in the log it puts "alc @ failed to obtain device info for analog controller (1)". I will upload file related with AppleALC will upload to the attach. Thanks for help.

Install never completes, always fails with about 3 minutes remaining on status bar

I have tried Mohave, and high Sierra. Both always fails during install. I get the installer to boot, format my hd. But the install to hardrive always fails with about 3 mins left. Any ideas? BTW, my laptop came with a sata ssd, I now have a nvme ssd. Not sure that would make a difference.

Hello everyone, I am not sure if this is normal behaviour, but on Mojave on my Dell Inspiron 7567, if I go to sleep either by closing the lid or selecting sleep from the Apple menu, I have to press a keyboard button to show the login screen to type in my password.

When I had my previous HP Envy laptop, the login screen would automatically display from sleep without pressing a button which is my preferred method. Is there something in a SSDT Hotpatch to define this? Please let me know if...

Hi Guys,

I'm fresh installing Mojave, and everything works fine, except my brightness slider, and keyboard backlight is not there.

So i went to do Rehabman guide about applebacklightfixup guide, but when I put SSDT PNLF on my clover patch, the screen would blink every second. If i remove it everything will be back to normal

Is there any advice to fix this?

Hello,

I've searched everywhere for a way to enable power management for NVME drivers on Mojave and I need some assistance.

I have a Ideapad 720s-15IKB that comes with a pm961 m.2 NVME SSD. I managed to set it up properly(sleep, touchpad, cpu pm, igpu, battery, screen brightness hotkeys and even found a way to enable battery charging threshold via a fn-hotkey with a dsdt patch).

My main concern is that the M.2 does not have proper power saving enabled and this leads to poor battery...

Hello,

I have bought all parts to mount my Hackintosh and i have wanted to download Sierra but i can't do it from my iMac which is a mid2007 (not compatible with Sierra). Is there any solution, or i have to use UniBeast 6, install El Capitan and update from the Hackintosh (in this case which version of MultiBeast have i to use?) ?
