Overview

The purpose of this guide is to provide a step-by-step guide to install High Sierra (or Sierra or El Capitan) on the Intel NUC6 series NUC mini computers. My NUC6 is the NUC6i5SYK, although I expect the guide will work on other similar models (any NUC6).

Firstly, this is not a guide, although it probably contains enough information to get your X299 hackintosh working if you already have a working hack.
I'm not some flash software guy so you won't get good answers if you ask something technical.

edit:
When I get a new computer I've always just made a new EFI / config.plist on the old one, installed or CCC the OS x to a new drive on that old computer and then tried it out on the new one.
Since I never actually did a clean install...

Hello, guys!

I have new PC build with configuration below and I can't get even to High Sierra installation process.

System components

- Mother board: MSI Z370m Gaming Pro AC
- Processor: Intel i7-8700K
- Video: onboard
- RAM: Corsair DDR4-3000 2x8GB
- SSD M2 Samsung 960PRO 512GB

I can't even get to the installer.

I'm tried with two ways - with OsxAptioFixDrv and OsxAptioFixDrv2 with practically same results, with different clover configurations but in root I think it's same...

Windows Update/Install no success with Clover on Lenovo Y50-70

I have a dual boot System : win10 / El cpaitan on my lenovo y50 70.
I santi update Windows 10 hit, when i try it, i get a error that say me that i can't do it.
When i boot windows 10 ver 1709 installation by the USB, the installation complete but i get this error to end.
What can i do? I formatted the Windows partition now. I need to reinstall win

Hi guys,
I managed to install High Sierra and Clover using the attached config and DSDT. Everything works smooth, except USB3
All USB ports are working, before and after putting the machine to sleep. But: I don't even see an XHC-Controller in ioreg.

Any ideas?

Furthermore, it would be interesting to know which patches have been applied to this DSDT - any idea how to figure this out (attached is the original DSDT of my machine)?

Hi, I just updated my old hack with a GA-Z170 gaming 5, i5-6600K SkyLake chip, 16 GB kit HyperX Fury Black ram. I kept the old video card GeForce GTX 670. I created a USB stick with Unibeast, Multibeast & High Sierra full version from the App Store. After setting the BIOs (VTD disabled, other OS, XHCI enabled, Super IO disabled) I save and exit. No boot after audio install

Hackintosh worked pretty clean on first install. No video playback or audio devices (though bluetooth audio worked fine).

I installed audio_CloverALC from Toleda since my Gigabyte Z370 UG has the 1220 figured this would be the best way to get this installed. Followed steps for 'Clover Patched AppleHDA' (clover, Mount EFI, command.sh, answer questions, restart) but the audio device never showed up in...

WindowServer memory leak on High Sierra?

I updated a few days ago from 10.12.6 and got everything running smoothly. I noticed that after a few hours, WindowServer would be consuming 3GB+ of memory, with a few GB compressed. This caused noticeable slow downs. I am using a 1080 with the latest nvidia drivers for 10.13. Is this happening to anyone else? Is there a way to debug it, preferably without having to use a clean user account for hours?

Logging out and back in is the only way to free up the memory.

As of the 10.10.5 driver there are no longer the checks in the distribution file for system profile and if the hardware is installed. It only checks for the OS X build number. This makes problems 1 and 3 obsolete.

Hey good people, I have a very slow GTX950 on my High Sierra build, and up to now I thought it was because of the mess of webdrivers released after the last OS update. However, (pic attached) shouldn't the lane width be x16 ? Am I missing something here?
