Intel WiFi Driver Effort

All,

I've started work on a project to port the current-generation Intel WiFi drivers from Linux to OS X. Right now it's very, very early in a process that looks to be a very, very long one. I have a kext that identifies compatible hardware and loads and digests the matching firmware, but it doesn't yet do important things like, say, connect to a network.

Still, it's a start, and if anybody has a recent Intel WiFi card and wants to give it a spin and confirm whether it recognized the...

At the moment of writing Mac OS Sierra is public beta stage and does not support Sky Lake yet, so I had to go on with El Captain.

Hardware
- CPU Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-6200U CPU @ 2.30GHz
- GPU build-in Intel HD Graphics 520. It works with huge amount of artifacts in 10.11.1, almost unusable. In 10.11.5 it with no artifacts at all. Like a charm. HDMI video also works out of the box, I attached a Full HD (1920x1080) and both monitors works just fine. GPU consumes...

Hi,

I recently swapped an EVGA GTX 680 into my system as both an upgrade from a Quadro FX 380 (which was pretty underwhelming) and because it was a lot easier than continuing to fight with the problematic 270x I had initially tried.

Anyway, the core part of the system is:

HP Z800 Workstation
Dual Xeon x5670 6-core processors @2.93GHz
48GB ECC Registered DDR3 1333 RAM installed (12 x 4GB sticks)
EVGA GTX 680 (DVI-I, DVI-D, HDMI, & Disaply Port available as outputs)
OS X 10.8.5

Gigabyte X99 UD4 r1.1+E5 2695v3 ES 14cores+GTX980Ti

I was successfuly setup CPU and memory (Gigabyte X99 UD4 r1.1+E5 2695v3 ES 14cores) , but one big problem is remain: Performance of gigabyte gtx980Ti windforce are 3x lower than on my old system asus P9X79pro+3930K. I usualy work in FCPX, Motion 5 and compressor. FCPX usualy use cuda on 980Ti and I know that because led lamp on card switch on, and effects works much faster than realtime. Now, on X99 system, FCPX doesn‘t activate cuda, led is off and performances are very low. Nothing is...

I solved a lot of problems like the stucking on apple logo, Bluethoot tramitting problem and so on.

To solve these problems, I needed to turn off my nvidia 970 and begin the installation on my integrated gpu.

Now, that everything seemed to work, when I reach the installation screen, and I want to select the hard drive where I need to install OS X, It shows up only the USB stick I'm using to install the OS x itself.

I can't find a solution. AHCI is already set in BIOS.

Nothing worked....

I have X99 gaming G1 wifi
I just add to config FakeCPUID 0x0306E0 (Ivy Bridge) to Haswell .Now AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext loaded.Now I can overclock 4.0Ghz too.

Installed El Capitan on my system yesterday. Went off way too smoothly for my expectations. Heck, this system wasnt even built for installing Mac, or taking Mac compatible HW in mind.

Hi there,

I've recently picked up a Lenovo T460s. I added the details about this laptop in my signature.

I'm trying to get El Capitan 10.11.5 installed using the latest Clover. I'm following the laptop guide by RehabMan with no luck. I can boot the installer in verbose mode using a USB 2.0 stick. No kernel panics or anything that jumps out to me in the verbose log, but eventually (after a fairly long time), I see the Apple logo for a split second, and then a black screen. I waited for...

I built my first Hack about 3 weeks ago and love it. I have a 970 graphics card, how likely is it we can use one of the new 1080/1070 cards early on? Will the Nvidia drivers be updated quite quickly or is it a long wait? Obviously interested in a 1070 but never been around with a Hack after a major GPU refresh so curious to what happened before.

As stated in the UniBeast guide, most Gigabyte 5/6/7/8/9 motherboards will function using UniBeast/MultiBeast with only a few changes from Optimized Defaults.

Networking stops suddenly

Hello,

I use OSX, actual 10.10.5, with a Gigabyte GA-Q77M-D2H, Core i5, 24GB RAM, SSD & Harddrive many years without problems.

Since some days the networking stops whenever I use Time Machine Backup or other copy-jobs over network.

When I start the Time Machine or a copy job all works fine at the beginning - after some time the connection breaks.

To start the network again I use: sudo ifconfig en0 down and then up - same procedure again - the copy works for some minutes and...

Clover is a great boot loader, and tonymacx86 has developed some great tools to get you up and running. However, some people are still having problems. I think a lot of this has to do with the design of the systems. Many have extra backup internal hard drives or partitions with legacy boot loaders or previous Clover systems. While this may have been fine in the past, with Clover and the newer OS X's, this does not work on many motherboards.

Hi there

I built out a very nice 10.10 using Clover last year.

I've been using a USB Dongle for enabling Bluetooth. Unfortunately, if I unplug it, I get the error Bluetooth:Not Available. I went into system information, and took out some screenshots, while the Dongle was out.

I do not see the 5 Ghz network. Nor can I get Bluetooth to function without the dongle. Continuity and handoff do not work.

How do I rectify this?

I am using BCM94352 card.

I've tried to do this quite a few times. My 4540s has a 15" 1920x1080p monitor. Most of the time, I can work close enough to the display such that the text is not too small. But sometimes, it would be useful to work at 1600x900. Unfortunately, if you use a normal scaled resolution at 1600x900 the text is not as crisp. It would be great to use Apple's HiDPI tech to get better scaling.

Same thing goes for my Lenovo u430 with 1600x900 14" display. Sometimes it would be great to use...

I am trying to install El Capitan onto a brand new machine (parts list here: http://pcpartpicker.com/list/rz88KZ, but there are no hard drives (only solid state drive) or graphics card in the box yet). I am following the guide on this website (http://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/u...pitan-on-any-supported-intel-based-pc.172672/) and I am 95% sure that I set all of my BIOS options correctly. I booted from the USB with Clover and the Apple logo...

I was just wondering how one goes about reseting the NVRAM on Clover? I knew how to do it on Chameleon.
