HP ZBOOK VIDEO MUX CONTROL

This thread is to detail my research and findings to try to perfect mux control and hopefully help anyone with a Muxed laptop get control of their display outputs. (SSDT at the moment and hopefully to make a driver in the future)

Ok so a little background.
Zbook's are HP's top of the line laptops and some 15" and all 17" models have MXM cards as a secondary GPU (DGPU)
For baseline I'm using a G5 (Generation 5) version that has an Intel Coffeelake CPU with UHD630 IGPU and a separate WX-4170...

Dual Boot Laptop

Hello,
I want to dual-boot Windows 10 and macOS Monterey and for that (on my laptop) I have a 1TB hard drive as well as a 500gb Samsung nvme SSD partitioned into 2 for Windows and macOS. Is there a guide to having a dual boot, as well as the macOS boot menu at startup? If not, can you explain to me? Thanks in advance, have a nice day

ASUS prime Z370-A Big Sur 11.2 sleep problem

Hello, I have problem with ASUS prime Z370-A, intel cpu 8700k at 11.2 big sur with 0.6.6 opencore. Otherwise all are fine except sleep.
When i press sleep all the time hdd led flash goes to black screen and then never awake.
I have to push reset to reboot and goes into mac os big sur again.

Is there any solution for this?

CSR8510 bluetooth does not always work on fresh Monterey

Hi All,

I've just managed to install Monterey. All seems to work fine except the bluetooth dongle which works 50% of the time.
Each time the system boots up, user logs in, the bluetooth is turned off. 50% of the time I'm able to turn it on.
I used the kexts from my previous install (Catalina), downloaded the newest versions of the kexts.
I've tried few things written in OC docs, added BrcmPatchRAM3 & BrcmBluetoothInjector. Did not make any difference.

How to fix this?

This will be a work in progress, so check back for updates. There isn't a lot of build info for the Gigabyte Z390 UD motherboard so when I got it up and running earlier this year I cobbled together a clover configuration that has worked fine using some help from another thread, but I did not believe it would work with Catalina. I took it on as a project for both my computer(Z390 Gaming M) and my son's(Z390 UD) to build an open core EFI from scratch so I would understand the setup better...

- Intel Core i7-870 Lynnfield

- Intel Q57 Express chipset supporting Intel Core processor with vPro technology

- LGA1156 ZIF (Socket T) (Other fonts says Socket H)

- NVIDIA NVS 300. Works with patch in config.plist

- Audio ALC662 rev1 Analog. Works with AppleHDA.kext old version and layout 5.

- Ethernet works with IntelMausi.kext

-Wifi works with itlwm.kext

Intel's 10th Generation CPUs are getting hard to find

I see our local retailer run out of pretty much all but one i5 Intel's 10th Generation CPUs. No i7s, no i9s.

That made me think it might be worth of risk getting Adler lake and try my luck ?

Especially reading this thread.

I still run my i7-920 first gen and the system is rock solid.
Had plans to upgrade this year to 10th gen but now having dilemma.

hello everyone,

I am new to hacktintosh. I was planned to buy a Z490 vision D and 10700K to build a hacktinosh, but the I cannot find any Z490 VISION D available. So I chose Z590 Vision D which is on sell at ebay. I planned to get a 6600xt GPU, but it is too difficult or the price is too high. And 11th's iGPU is not supported. I am not a gamer, just need this to connect one 4k monitor+ one 1080p monitor or two 4k monitor.

So my first question is can I just use i7-10700k's iGPU with Z590...

Successed Optiplex 9020 updated from Big Sur 11.16.1 to Monterey 12.01

Based on @trs96 and @joostiphone posts:

1)update OC to 0.75 and all included kexts using HackinDROM (click here download), see attached pic;
2) Using OC Gen-X, select System Model iMAC17.1 generate Serial number, MLB, smUUID and ROM, copy all of them on config.plist file.

Then you will see the macOS Monterey update on Apple Store, after about 30 min download and installation, DONE!

Hello tonymacx86 users. I'm new to the forum and doing my best to create a nice thread so I apologize for my mistakes. I have an ASUS GL553VE Laptop running Windows 10 and Catalina with OpenCore 0.6.8 and no matter what I tried I can't be succeed to update OpenCore and I looked for help on so many forums. You' re my only hope left. I'm placing my EFI folder here. Can someone please update it for me? Thanks for all your help.
