It was quite a challenge and took it numerous time to learn OC after Clover, hopefully you will be enjoy it.
This Setup has only 1 graphics unit, which is a dGPU!
All responsibilities is yours!

Bios:
- UEFI Native(without CSM) or Hybrid(with CSM) - I didn't notice a difference.
Disable:
- Fast Boot, Secure Boot
- Wake on Lan, USB
- Lan/Wan switching
- Firewire/IEEE 1394, Serial port, Parallel port...

Hello, hackintosh users,
I am using the @RehabMan laptop os x config for Intel HD 520. After kextcache I get 1536 MB graphics but my Intel graphics is 4 GB (4000 MB). Is there anyway I can make to to 4000 MB for full utilization??

@jaymonkey : For HP spectre mojave clover install:
  • using the Preloader.efi in the clover folder and
  • renaming the cloverx64.efi to loader.efi
is the best way to make the clover boot or has there been a better way to make the boot working with Clover UEFI?
I checked on couple of years ago and we had touch screen having issue with clover boot screen. Not sure if any better method has been found so thought of checking with you...

T4U USB working 2x faster than Fenvi T919 on Catalina - Ideas?

Lately I have been using a TP Link T4U USB card for my internet connection, while waiting for delivery of a Fenvi t919. I received the Fenvi today and in my Catalina setup I compared speeds within a minute of one another. Both connecting to the faster 5 GHz network. They both have their antennas near the rear of the computer and the computer is a room at end of a corridor, where at other end the router is in another room. Big Sur panic problems

I installed Big Sur 11.5 with OC_Gen-X and I’ve got an issue. After a couple starts it displays the following panic on startup. The problem grew steadily worse The problem was correctable by replacing the EFI folder. Now it seems to have corrupted the entire install.

Asus Z370 F Gaming not loading

I hope this is the right place, I have an Asus Z370 F Gaming bios version 2081, I create my USB boot and I know it is working because I have tested it already on 2 different systems, the problem that I have is that whenever I try to load the installation USB it shows the apple logo, it takes forever to load when the bar reaches the 100% It does nothing, no recovery menu or nothing.
The USB works because I already installed it on a different motherboard, my bios settings are teh same as this...

I wonder if anyone has previously encountered or solved this very specific problem. I'm currently on macos Sierra (10.12.6) using Clover r4173. I want to upgrade Clover to a newer version (r5138) so that I can upgrade to Big Sur. The problem is that I have a B250 chipset and an m.2 NVME SSD -- under Sierra, this means that I need the IONVMeFamily Pike R. Alpha Patches to allow booting. I want to share a successful way to install and update Mac os Bigsur on an Asus X555LJ laptop with OpenCore.

Currently, the config I have compiled allows me to update the Mac OS system without any problems at all.

hello guys.
i recently wants to install macOS catalina on my PC with OpenCore.
i created config.plist using opencore guide and checked everything(config file) with opencore sanity checker.
but when i select [Install MacOS from bootloader] it stucks at apple logo.
i need your help.
my pc Config:
CPU : Intel Core i5-3470
RAM : 8GB DDR3 1666
GPU : GT730 2GB DDR5
Motherboard : H61-MHB biostar

Alternatives to Z490 vision D

Good afternoon,

I am starting the process of choosing parts for a new build, and ideally my choice of motherboard would have been Gigabyte Z490 Vision D, regarded by many (at least by readin online discussions) as the most compatible and easiest to hack for Mac OS.

Unfortunately, it is now unavailable and likely to never be available again as Intel moves to newer generations.

Is there a consensus on what is the best path for a build with the parts available today, using a Comet Lake CPU...

Resetting the NVRAM changes Boot Order in BIOS

So, I am running the latest Monterey public beta (21A5304g). Everything's fine, except that every time I do a NVRAM reset, my boot order changes in BIOS.

I have 3 separate SSDs running Mac, Ubuntu and Windows. When I reset NVRAM, the boot order changes and the system starts booting directly from the Windows bootloader. So, everytime I do a NVRAM reset and the system restarts, I have to enter BIOS and make the Mac EFI Partition (containing Opencore 0.7.2) as my primary boot disk.
