Monterey Public Beta on Asus X99 Deluxe II

Just managed to install Monterey Public Beta on my Asus X99 Deluxe II -- after nearly 5 hours of tinkering.

Some lessons learned:
  • Best to upgrade to OpenCore 0.7.1 and latest Kexts.
  • Turn off Bluetooth in BIOS (there is an option that just enables or disables Bluetooth).
    • This took a while to figure out.
    • Update 6 July 2021: We can use Bluetooth! The latest EFI (see Post #7 below) contains a new kext that allows Bluetooth to work...

Hey all

Im thinking of Buying a Notebook it maybe will be the MSI G66 Leopard 11UH-028
The components are:

Intel® Core™ i7-11800H
NVIDIA GeForce RTX3080 Grafik (8192 MB)
16 GB DDR4-3200 SO-DIMM

Could it be possible to make an Hackintosh out of it?

[GA-Z490M-GAMING-X] System won't boot up with 11.5.2 [opencore 0.7.2]

Hello!

I'm back with a new thread about my configuration. Everything was ok until 11.5.2 when i messed up completely my system.

What I did : I took sample.plist 0.7.2, edited all that I needed with Textmate, and now it won't boot. I used opencore configurator just to verify my config.plist (which was correct until 0.6.7 and not above. I don't know if it's linked to opencore sanity checker but it's wrong.

[SUCCESS] Catalina 10.15 on HP Elite 8300

Got a smoothly running (fresh install) of Catalina on the HP Elite 8300 (Core i7 using onboard GPU (non-discreet)). Everything works that I can tell (audio, usb, sleep, wake). The hard part was making a bootable USB with a properly configured Clover bootloader.

Hello guys! I have a problem with connection secondary display (Display 2: HP X27q (DP 1.4)), when connected 2 displays mouse starts a freeze every 2 second (you can see it on video). When connected only one display Dell U2312HM all works perfect!

Display 1: Dell U2312HM (DP)
Display 2: HP X27q (DP 1.4)

[Success] Radeon RX 6800 XT - Big Sur

Just got the card in the mail this morning.

It is replacing a 5700 XT which was working fine on Big Sur, OpenCore 63.

The rest of my system:

I7-8086k
MSI Z370I

The last system log shows a « PerfPowerService » error, unauthorized client on AMDRadeonX6000_AmdGpuWrangler in the pci-bridge@0 configuration.


I have tried the following so far:

- Forced my pci bus to 3x
- removed agdpmod=pikera, tried to re-add it, change definition to MacPro1,1 via board-id.

Hi friends, I successfully installed Mac os Monterey on my old system including an nvidia gt 210 video card,
failing to install this video card I managed to buy an AsRock AMD Radeon Rx550 card and installed it in the system.
I also installed Mac os Mojave 10.14.6 video card working very well QE / CI with fake id 0x67ff and
Baffin framebuffer. So I wanted to run Monterey but it crashes in the boot sequence, I tried all sorts of smbios
but to no avail, in Mojave it runs with smbios MacPro...

in order to install macOS Big Sur in a dedicated APFS volume on my multiboot system (WIN-macOS-Linux) on separate drives (UEFI-Mode), it was necessary to switch from Clover to OpenCore. So I created the USB pendrive for Big Sur install using OpenCore 0.7.0. macOS Monterey USB Won't Boot From BIOS

Hello,

I am a seasonal Hackintosh builder and I want to try out Monterey. After creating my USB (I'm using clover), my pc won't boot from the USB. After selecting the USB from the BIOS my screen turns black and I get kicked back into the BIOS. Any ideas? I bet there was an issue with making the USB bootable in terminal but that's just a guess.

GPU acceleration issue?

My mouse is sluggish and some kind of artifacts happen as you can see on the video. Is this an issue because of GPU acceleration? Since I use iGPU of my Intel i5 7500 processor I thought I don't have to make special adjustments for the graphics except the BIOS where I've selected 64 mb.
