Dell Optiplex 9020 SFF Catalina wake up screen flickering

Hi All,

My new hackintosh build's screen got flickering on eGPU right after waking up from sleep.
Here are my machine's details:
1. Dell Optiplex 9020 SFF
2. i7-4790S
3. 32GB RAM
4. AMD Radeon WX 4100
5. Archer T9E WiFi adapter

The eGPU works perfectly on a Optiplex 7010 SSF build.
It is very strange that the flickering disappears if I plug another monitor into iGPU's displayport.
Does anyone know how to fix this issue?
Any hint for debugging this issue would also be appreciated.

Underscan not retained after reboot with HD4600 on Mojave

Hello all!

My underscanned display resolution on my 42" Sony Bravia television does not retain after a reboot of Mojave, thus making me go to System Prefrences>Display and underscan it manually after each reboot.

I'm using integrated graphics (HD4600) with HDMI output to the Sony Bravia, along with a 2nd display via DVI (24" Slate Raven MTi2 Control Surface).

I must note that I've had to use the AGDPfix in order to achieve functioning dual displays with the HD4000 during my previous...

Introduction
This thread is a X299 Clover/OpenCore support for macOS Catalina. Although primary support going forward will be for OpenCore, this thread is also open to Clover users.
It is a continuation of the excellent and well detailed guides from @kgp that he created for macOS High Sierra and macOS Mojave.

successful installation of mac OS 11.0 Big Sur Public Beta - using OpenCore on Haswell. Everything works except Wi-Fi (need a patch). The finished folder is here, you only need to enter your SMBIOS (I masked it as iMac 15.1)

As some of you know, I have been lurking around to make the new X299X boards (Gigabyte) work, unsuccessful at it, but trying nevertheless.

On the hardware side these are the specs of the build:

Gigabyte Designare EX 10G
Intel i9 10900X
128GB DDR4 3200 Mhz Crucial Ballistix
1200W BeQuiet! PurePower
PNY 500GB NVMe

Anyone tried if it could reach 5K or setting for HiDPI at 4K?

So i acquired a lovely shaped mac g5 Quad with certain overheating problems.
I disassembled to clean of dust and in the meantime i noticed that this thing have a 1kw psu!!!
So after cleaning inside, i took notice of the labels on the pcb of the psu, and digging a little bit on internet was able to find more info about pinouts.
Here is a schematic i made for it.
Just one afternoon of trials and the damm thing ended up working perfectly as ATX!
The damn thing waked up!!

Brightness only toggles/adjusts after waking from sleep

On my Dell Latitude e7470, I had this issue that I haven't been able to resolve.
When I toggle my brightness, it only remains at maximum and nothing happens until I reach minimum (or close to minimum), at which point the screen either starts to flicker or goes black.

However, after I put the laptop in sleep (hibernate to be exact) and wake from sleep, the brightness adjusts exactly as intended.

I already installed AppleBacklightFixup.kext to /L/E.

I tried resetting NVRAM by running "sudo...

Hi I was looking - like many other - for a thunderbolt mini-itx motherboard.
Some days ago I found the "Fatality", also quoted in few post in the forum.
I see that is in the Early adopter buying advice. (and it's now available on ebay.it)

My question are: will work with Clover/macOs?

Hey guys, I was also planning to build with i9-9900K and almost got it but as i9-10900K is around the corner and have 2 more cores and Hyper Threading; I am thinking to build with i9-10900K. But there is huge concern with high temperature with i9-10900K and 360 AIO is needed for build with 10th Gen i9-10900K & may still run hot!! Also I want to use 32GB DIMM per slot and total 64GB DDR4 ram (2 X 32GB) for my build but I read somewhere there is compatibility issue for hackintosh with 32GB...

I've exhausted everything I can think of, or have found, to try to fix the performance issues I have with a Gigabyte RX Vega 64 OC card that I'm trying to upgrade to (from an EVGA 680 GTX).

Superficially the card appears to run perfectly under the latest High Sierra and Mojave releases. The UI is responsive, browsing is fine, videos play fine, the card is reported in about this Mac and in the system report.

My benchmark results seem to be fairly consistent with what others have...

Hi All!

Built my first hack in Jan of 2012 and it is still going strong. I built the machine for my home recording studio and was always able to keep the tower in another room for recording. I moved recently and the tower will now be in the same room as where I record - though, to be clear, when I built the hack I did put in a Noctua NF-P12 Cpu fan and an Antec HCP 750 W power supply (both of which are supposed to be very quiet).
