I know many don't use this case for much given it's a sod but I decided to use it for my FreeNAS. It only cost me £30 complete.



Took it all apart.



Bought a donor.



Things needed for the modding.

Extra PSU (one for the board etc and the other for the drives)

Migrating Windows to Larger Drive

Hello All.

I currently have a working Dual Boot system with Catalina and Windows 10. However, my Windows 10 SSD is full. I'd like to migrate my Windows 10 drive to a larger SSD. I've used two different cloning softwares on the Win 10 side trying to clone the old drive on to a new larger SSD however when I do that, Clover doesn't see the new drive when I try to boot. What am I doing wrong here?

Sleep wake failure in EFI Catalina 10.15

My laptop Asus adol13un (i5-8250u uhd620) uses 10.15.When I click sleep on Apple logo menu or close laptop lid for about 30 seconds,It restart automatically.When it boots macos again,it shows an error message"Sleep wake failure in EFI"and "Failure during sleep: 0xFFFFFFFF 0000001F : EFI/Bootrom Failure after last point of entry to sleep"But if I do nothing and put it sleep automatically,It can wake normally.
Tried methods:
1.pmset hibernatemode set to 0
2.remove com.apple.PowerManagement.*...

Clover installation immediately crashes computer

Using a build that is still working with High Sierra, I swapped out for a clean Samsung SSD drive, update the Gigabyte Z97 motherboard to F6 and the BIOS checked for appropriate settings. I used Unibeast to successfully create an install disc but when I can get to clover and choose USB install, I get a null icon on the screen and the computer shuts down.

If there is an empty SSD for a target drive, clover will not load. If I put the SSD with High Sierra on it back in the computer, Clover...

I produced a bunch of custom config and I'm hoping to finish the effort of getting Catalina loaded on this Yoga. I see a Nvme channelnotfound i2CChannel error and get a garbled screen. I will appreciate if someone is able to show further light!

boot.efi error on reboot after successful upgrade Mojave to Catalina, Aorus Pro Wifi, Samsung 970 Nvme

Hi, any help would be appreciated. Upgrade went well, problem though arises after rebooting. I get a "Error: Aborted returned from boot.efi" in verbose. Ended up being able to clone back from an external SSD running 10.15.4. After cloning from the External SSD (10.15.4) to the internal Nvme, I can boot the first time from the Nvme, but after shutdown and/or rebooting, I get that "Error: Aborted returned from boot.efi"

Been trying all kinds of solutions with respects to different versions of...

So i acquired a lovely shaped mac g5 Quad with certain overheating problems.
I disassembled to clean of dust and in the meantime i noticed that this thing have a 1kw psu!!!
So after cleaning inside, i took notice of the labels on the pcb of the psu, and digging a little bit on internet was able to find more info about pinouts.
Here is a schematic i made for it.
Just one afternoon of trials and the damm thing ended up working perfectly as ATX!
The damn thing waked up!!

Good Day everyone,

I have a laptop about 90% happy on the setup. I cannot remember post EFI for 10th Gen Intel, which given me almost the system work. I have been looking for kexts for the follow items:

  1. Bluetooth
  2. SD Card Reader
  3. both networks option wired and wireless
  4. Audio for Intel Display Audio and Realtek Audio

My main issue is what I have found in kext and/or software has crash the boot loader or the Mac OS. I am looking for some thing towards my goal to...

Hi.

A few days ago I decided to update my hackintosh. I choose i7-10700k and MSI Z490 Tomahawk. After reading a few threads and playing few hours with clover I realize that it's not possible to run 10gen with clover (or I just not figured out how). So I use opencore 0.5.9 as a bootloader.
I cannot found a lot of examples with z490 and maybe it will help someone.
