I get to clover and launch the installer. It freezes on the apple logo (no progress bar) every time.

None of the recommended bios settings available in my bios.

Any pointers? Should I try to redo the installer? Any...

Hi all,

I've had my Hackintosh for a few weeks now, and everything was working perfectly, I followed the guides to get setup and it was pretty straightforward.

Let me explain the problem:

The cooler I was using was a Noctua NH-D15, but it blocked the PCIe x16 Slot on my Gigabyte Z490 Motherboard - This meant I then had to put my RX580 into PCIe x8 Slot which although it worked great, having the PCIe x16 slot unavailable to me didn't sit right. - Added Clover or OpenCore integration support, basically if you pass a boot parameter to VirtualBiosMod when exit instead to return to parent (Clover) reboot, if no parameters passed to VirtualBiosMod run as usual

The Optiplex 9030 is a 23" All in One system based on Haswell processors.
It comes in two main different types: Integrated graphics type and a variation with AMD R7 A265.
This guide is just for the integrated graphics HD4600 and HD4400 version.

TL/DR: Under Catalina I cannot get the Connector Type patch to define each of the laptop video outputs to work. As a result, the HDMI port has sleep/wake problems. With same config.plist, dual-booting Mojave, it works flawlessly and the patch is applied.

I have installed a fresh catalina on another HD, so one HD has my "production" install with Mojave, and the new one a fresh Catalina where i will be moving stuff calmly.

Hi.

A few days ago I decided to update my hackintosh. I choose i7-10700k and MSI Z490 Tomahawk. After reading a few threads and playing few hours with clover I realize that it's not possible to run 10gen with clover (or I just not figured out how). So I use opencore 0.5.9 as a bootloader.
I cannot found a lot of examples with z490 and maybe it will help someone.

Kernel Panic during Catalina install

Hi All,

I am upgrading to Catalina and during the install I get a reproducible kernel panic report via verbose mode. I have tried to understand them myself but am having little luck. Could someone perhaps explain what is going on/point me in the direction to fix it? I have attacked screenshots of the important parts (i believe) and a slow-motion video of the whole report as I had no other way of collecting the report easily.
