Feedback needed for the i3-8350k processor

I've noticed several people have used the i3-8350k processor in their builds. I am hoping Those that have will enter a few comments here. I am wondering if it "feels" like an older 4-core i7 or i5. I'd also like to know how far people have been able to overclock it since it has no turbo-boost. If you have experience with this 4 core i3 processor, please post your review or comments here. Thanks!

Currently running Mac OS 10.14.6 on an HP Z440 and trying to get working ALC221 audio via AppleALC. I've read many people are using this same machine with working audio, but I'm not having as good luck.

I've had minimal success so far, though strangely, I thought I had gotten audio working fully yesterday (front and rear jack output came to life and were shown in Sound Preferences), but it stopped working on subsequent reboots, so it is definitely not consistent. The only consistently...

I wanted to share how I was able to get my Z77 system (Gigabyte GA‑Z77X‑UP5 TH motherboard) to successfully boot off of a Samsung 950 Pro NVMe SSD using a PCI Express adapter. I know there are several others using this same motherboard for their builds, so hopefully someone will find this information useful. The BIOS on this board doesn't have built-in support for NVMe devices, but I was able to use the AMI MMtool to extract the NVMe modules from a Z97 BIOS (GA-Z97X-UD7 TH) and insert them...

So I have been given a sony pcv-a1112m which is a fairly old touchscreen PC , it’ll be ideal to Hackintosh just for music DJ decks (only Mac compatible)
The big question is can this be done , I’m very capable of the unibeast Install but F2 bios is very basic and you cannot config anything , hence when you go through the boot loader and then onto disk utility there is no 1Tb hard drive to erase , im pretty certain this is down to no options in the basic bios , any work around appreciated or...

[Solved] Clover Scan Entries problem with HD RAID

I've been using this setup for a few months now without a problem, two SSDs, four HDDs, two of them configured as RAID, using Disk Utility. Today the system didn't boot, it's hanging on the "Welcome to Clover 3766 - Scan Entries" and then reboots. After some research I decided to unplug the HDDs in RAID and the system boots without an issue.
Of course I'm working off this RAID now and really need to get it working ASAP.
Any ideas how to fix this or why it suddenly happened in the first place?

Hi! Hoping someone can help me out with this.
I just built a new computer and have been at a constant loss of what to do. I used the up to date mojave unibeast installer to make my USB installer, changed my Bios according to the installation guide found on here and through others personal boards. I also made sure to unplug my GTX 1060, and all cables in my computer other than keyboard, mouse, and USB as well as any drives i had. Ive also made sure to try all the USB ports including the 2.0's...

Updated an old hack to Sierra and everything is running well except for i've lost audio. After my install I ran multibeast and selected ALC1220, I guess that was the wrong option as there are no audio devices showing up in my system preferences. So question 1 is what ktext do I need to get my audio working, and 2 is do I need to undo anything that was done by selecting ALC1220.

Dear community, I never overclocked hackintosh, so before buying new faster setup, I wanted to try this out. I found some tutorials online, but I did not want to experiment with various kext files – only bios settings which could be easily reverted because it's still my main workstation. I've already found that Intel EIST function has to be disabled for freq. to overcome 3,5 GHz, but even when I overclocked my frequencies wont go above 3,9 GHz when fully loaded. Am I missing something...

So to coincide with the 10.14.6 Mojave point upgrade Apple also released a Security patch for High Sierra 10.13.6 - Security Update 2019-004.

They put out one of these to address many of the same concerns in the previous OS version as they do in the current one.

This update moves the build up to: 10.13.6 17G8029

Help With High Sierra Random Reboots

I have been running on High Sierra for a while now, but I constantly get random reboots of my system even if I am not using it. I have tried reading through some of the other posts, but not being super technical I can't narrow down my issue. I have attached the log as well as my Clover plist.

Here is the hardware I am running. Should I update my OS to Mojave or Catalina?

I would really appreciate any help on this.
