Brightness problems after upgrading screen from TN to IPS: Brightness only works AFTER sleep

I have a HP 450G4 laptop. It originally came with a (horrible) TN screen. I have mojave 10.14.6 and brightness was working 100% on the TN panel.

So I changed the TN panel for a compatible IPS panel I just bought, an AUO B156HAN01.1.

Now, the display only works at maximum brightness level. Any other level causes the screen to go black, or to flicker like every 2 seconds (that is, black screen generally with occasional PWM flickers with the content every 2 seconds)...

PSA Missing macOS Volumes in Clover

Clover r4509 is no longer installing or upgrading VBoxHfs-64.efi. This driver is required to read and show valid macOS disks. For some reason it was removed as a default driver in this release. However it looks like this has been fixed and will be available in the next installer release.

In the mean time, you can either boot from your USB installer stick and rerun the Clover installer to manually add VBoxHfs-64.efi.

Black screen after Sleep

Hello. So i installed mojave on my inspiron laptop and everything is working great... its just that my sleep isn’t working. Whenever i put my laptop to sleep, it goes to sleep but when i try to wake it doesn’t wake up.. it shows black screen. Can anyone help

I have a fully functioning Hackintosh with an Gigabyte(GA-Z170X-Gaming 3) motherboard, and an Intel i7-6700k processor running the latest version of Mojave(10.14.4). It is running with very few kexts and drivers:

Kexts: FakeSMC, Lilu, USBInjectAll, WhateverGreen
Drivers: ApfsDriverLoader-64, AptioMemoryFix-64, HFSPlus-64, NTFS-64, PartitionDxe

Now I have just bought a new computer, with an ASUS ROG STRIX Z390-F Gaming, S-1151 motherboard and an Intel i9-9900k processor... and I want to...

Need some help installing Mojave on my my PC tried virtually everything going through all the forum.
Good solution started the installation then it stops at 2 minutes thought I rebuild a USB stick now I can't get past the the black writing
just stuck there and plus the PC feels very slow sluggish while the installation it just keeps on freezing any help will be much appreciated

Spoiler: I love it. For some reason it feels much more...don't know...friendly to the touch than Macbook Pro 2018. Somehow with the MBP I constantly feared breaking it (this might be because out of five I tried none lasted longer than two weeks before the keys began to malfunction). This laptop just feels friendly and sturdy. Plus it fits a 14" screen where MBP fits 13.3" and weighs the same, 1.37 kg.

I've tried to use this baby with Windows...

Restart during the first Installation phase

Hi,
After getting help from @P1LGRIM and from @Feartech I managed to progress to the installation window, I managed also to connect to a stable ethernet (RNDIS), but during the installation (the progress bar is before the middle), it simply just reboot and I can't find Mojave nvme M.2 entry (i think because it did not complete the installation).

Any Help will be appreciated,

macOS High Sierra (10.13.6) 4k at 120hz is it possible?

Hey,

For some reason I can't see any options to run my brand new Asus XG438Q at 4k above 60hz under High Sierra. It runs flawlessly under Win10 at 120hz. Is this problem tied with nvidia web driver or monitor support?

Is it even possible to run 4k more than 60hz with latest High Sierra web drivers? I haven't tried with any AMD card yet.
