[Solved] UEFI clover boot option gone after BIOS update

Following fixing a different issue, where Clover was making a new UEFI boot drive every time I restarted (causing 20+ boot drives in bios), my issues have gone the other way.

I updated BIOS to F20, and no longer see any UEFI drives to go to clover in the BIOS setup - only the two drives in the system. I have gone back and made the basic adjustments to the bios (UEFI enabled, etc), and I can still launch clover via a USB - it's just the onboard clover option that seems to have gone missing...

New Build - Radeon VII - CCC Copy?

Hi @pastrychef @jaymonkey @blouse @trs96,

So im in the process of creating a build identicle to my main build in my signature below except with a Radeon VII in place of the two VEGA 64's.

I was wondering as the specifications/components are identical if I can use CCC to clone my drive off my working build (copying efi data manually of course also) to get this build working? Lazy I know but it's working...

Purple glitches on Sapphire Rx 580 - Mojave

Yesterday I installed a Sapphire Pulse RX580 8 GB to my build. It worked OOB. However, when the system is booting, the screen shows some purples glitches at some point; when the glitches dissapeared the GPU makes a noise and then finish loading and works fine. My GPU is recognized in "About this MAC". and I am using multi-monitor.

My build sleeps and wakes up well. However, when the PC is sleeping, each 3 minutes the FANS and RGB Lights turn on for about a 1 minute then sleep.

Hi all, I'm a pro composer on Cubase with VE Pro on the same computer, currently using a 2013 Mac Pro 6-core 3.6 Xeon, which I overload constantly. So I'm looking into an i9 Hackintosh that's as dependable and stable as possible since I rely on my DAW for my living. I've been told elsewhere here that the 8-core is the most reliable setup and am wondering if moving to a 10-core would be worth it or not? Hi everyone !
I'm new to the hackintosh community and wanted to try to get macOS Mojave to work on my thinkpad T480, if found that build: https://gitlab.com/maemo8086/thinkintosh_t480
Saw some people with a simillar config as mine succeeding with that build
I can boot into the installer with clover and follow through the different steps of the install, but something seemed weird to me:

Finally got Sierra running on both of my machines:

1st Machine: GA-X58A-UD5 rev 2.0 (Video: GV-R687OC-1GD || Radeon HD 6870): Installation went almost flawless and all works fine, except just two minor issues: USB 3.0 doesnt work and non-wakeup after sleep (any ideas?).

2nd Machine: GA-Z68X-UD4-B3 rev 1.0 (Video: ASUS C897P || NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260) – after three days of tossing around and endless tries and failures, I finally passed the installation process...

Framebuffer patching in Mojave
Binary patching framebuffers using KextsToPatch in Clover is no longer a viable method in Mojave for Skylake and above. Now you need to use Lilu + WhateverGreen.

Not just for Mojave
This method of framebuffer patching is not only required for Mojave we recommend it for all previous and future releases of macOS.

Coffee Lake Users
Please note that the new WhateverGreen will not work with fake Kaby Lake...

Boot failures on working High Sierra

Hi
Im getting, and this is usually first start of the day , boot failure on my gigabyte board. Every time I go into Bios and re- save and ext without changing anything and it then boots as normal. Im assuming I have a Bios setting thats not right unless theres another reason. Ive tried my Back up system SSD and my Main system SSD in case its a disk error and the outcome is the same. Any ideas as to which BIOS settings I should change?

Hi, i've booted to the installer of Mojave 10.14.5

But i can't find my SSD disks, i've already installed NVMExpressDxe-64.efi from clover as i have 2 SSD flash storage

I only get the USB installer

Clover Update 4961 Blackscreen result

Hey I currently I updated my clover build to 4961 and after reboot it result in a black screen.
My system is based on Micostar Mainboard MS-B9071 with i5-7400 and 8GB Ram and RX 580.


My -v is attached.

I have no idea at all
