High Sierra is here but no updated drivers and I read online that the relationship between Apple and Nvidia has soured. On top of that, there have always been small bugs with the Nvidia web drivers. So, I'm now seriously considering the move to an AMD card as Apple has native support for those.

2 questions,
- are the 570 and 580 cards you see for sale 100% compatible or do we need special versions?
- does anyone have any experience with these 2 cards?

How to patch it?
I heard that macOS blocked vga port under EL capitan.

Hey, I've finally installed Mojave with moderate success on my computer.

CPU i7 9700k oc@5GHz
16GB 3000MHz DDR4
Asus R9 290 4096MB GDDR5

Just finished the installation and I got the GPU working OOB, that was great! However, I have 3 monitor setup and only 2 are showing up on MacOS and giving image.

1st monitor is on DP using a converter to HDMI -> Working
2nd...

I'm currently running with the Intel UHD630 GPU. I had injected the Intel driver within Clover when installing 1st time using Multibeast..

Overview

The purpose of this guide is to provide a step-by-step guide to install Mojave, High Sierra, Sierra, or El Capitan on the Kaby Lake Intel NUC7 series Intel NUC mini computers. My NUC7 is the NUC7i7BNH, although I expect the guide will work on other similar models. Preliminary support for the NUC8 "Bean Canyon" has also been added.

Hi, guys,

I'm trying to install macOS on this notebook, but I'm getting error in AppleHDA. I've tried to change audio layout in config.plist, but that hasn't helped. My audio codec is CX20753/4, which should be supported by AppleALC.

So, I’m putting together a desktop with H61 board, i7 3770k and Intel HD 4000.

I have smbios set to iMac 13,2 and platform set to 01660003. Graphics card is not being picked up.

I have tried several combinations of platform and device Id, most resulting in no boot with the no symbol or indefinite loading bar. Basically anything in platform other than 01660003 won’t boot.

Does anyone happen to have experience with this combo?

Hi, I wanted to bring my hack (ASROCK M370M-ITX/ac, i7 8700K, 16GB) up to date with Mojave. I knew this would mean I would lose the 980Ti. I swapped it with a Veg 64.

My performance in Lightroom is quite ordinary compared to with the 980 (I tested them both in High Sierra) and Cinebench shows it at 131, about 15fps slower than the 980Ti. Windows has the Vega it at 175fps!

Is this right? I have no overclocks in place.

I have a Hackintosh that can dual boot into Windows (hardware in signature.) When I reboot Windows, the PC is perfectly happy and there are no problems. When I reboot from OS X, however, the BIOS resets to defaults. The AppleRTC option is set to true in config.plist. There's also a FixRTC value that is set to false; should I try enabling that? What else can I try?
