Hello! For you and ALL other laptop users fighting this problem! i will shine some light to you as i did find here even very similar laptop didn't end up getting this to work...


In shortly not basic connector type fix works in these laptops because layout maybe totally different to you even if you try inject ig-platform-id.. and you look wrong place all the time (platform id inject for me doesn't work...). And your port is wrong and missing!

Recheck with IORegistryExplorer looking at iGPU...

ALC892 audio disappears randomly on High Sierra

I'm running macOS High Sierra 10.13.4 (with security update). On Sierra (10.12) I had no issues with ALC892 audio on my ASUS P8Z68-V PRO GEN3 motherboard. But since High Sierra (10.13) my audio stops working randomly and I have to reboot. This happens for no reason whatsoever. I would be booting into High Sierra and audio works great. A few minutes in I would suddenly notice my audio is no longer working. If I go to sound preferences I can still see all the audio devices but there's...

Overview

High Sierra with AMD RX580 and Samsung 4K TV - how do you get 60hz?

I was finally able to get an AMD RX580 running under High Sierra. I get sound and 4K resolution but I can’t get 60hz refresh rate.

I had an Nvidia 1080Ti and could do it with Sierra using a Club3d Display-to-HDMI adapter, SwitchResX, and the clock patch. So I know the hardware is capable.

But in High Sierra, it’s stuck at 30hz. Tried SwitchRes, various clock patches (most of which say they don’t work on AMD), HDMI with no Club3d adapter ... can’t make it work.


Any suggestions?

As of the 10.10.5 driver there are no longer the checks in the distribution file for system profile and if the hardware is installed. It only checks for the OS X build number. This makes problems 1 and 3 obsolete.

Hi there,

I'm new here, please forgive me for any faux pas.

I'm a professional IT, and while I admit I'm quite newbie as far as using mac os x on non-official hardware, I have to say that I was using mac for 10+ years and was happily running El Capitan on my main PC thanks to this forum.

Recently I run out of disk space, and figured I can't delay upgrading to newer mac os x, so I purchased a bigger drive and trying to install a brand new High Sierra on it. This same machine runs happily...

I was working on my computer and every thing was smooth, until I, for some dumb reason, decide to update my MacOS without any backup.

As soon as the computer came back from the update I reinstalled the nVidia webdrive and thought that everything was fine, but now my wifi is working like sith. The connection is always strong, full signal, but, without warning, I experience 1 or 2 minutes of absolutely no internet. It looks as if I stop using it, it simply dies. Don't know what is causing...

Overview

The purpose of this guide is to provide a step-by-step guide to install High Sierra (or Sierra or El Capitan) on the Intel NUC6 series NUC mini computers. My NUC6 is the NUC6i5SYK, although I expect the guide will work on other similar models (any NUC6).

Hello, I bought this card, because in the compatibility listing showed that it was native in macOS, but I think something has changed after the update, because it is not working. This is my "M.2: BCM94350ZAE / DW1820A - native WiFi / ac and BT4LE" card.
Only WIFI is recognizing by Rehabman kext "ATH9KFixup", but bloutooth does not recognize.
I would like your help.

Guys, I installed the high sierra successfully by following the installation guide . But the login window background is gray. And only work with nv_disable=1 . Does gts 450 supported natively? How make it work. I do many things follow the advice. But failed. Help please.

As part of building my newest systems, I wanted to create a method to disable chipset XHCI ports without using a kext. I found that by creating a custom SSDT for the XHCI ports I could easily disable unused motherboard USB ports or hide unsupported devices that use these USB ports. This allowed me to support all the chipset XHCI ports implemented on my CustoMac motherboards.

Hi,

i've encrypted my SSD drive running High Sierra but unfortunately got an error message: 'Graphics DUIinitialize failed OxE' among other error messages like 'APFS keyback unlock with stashed KEK failed'

Does somebody knows what the problem might be? I'm experimenting with a new file from a user to get Filevault2 working with PS/2 keyboards so i think it is in almost everybody interest :) (no the new file is not the problem)

I have a Dell XPS 15 9550, sandisk 128GB SSD, I5 skylake...

Hi there,

I had a 10.13.3 High Sierra hackintosh fully working (well, except iMessage) with Windows 10 on dual boot on another HDD.
I was on macOS reviewing a PDF for work (so nothing very intense) when the hackintosh rebooted by itself to Windows 10.

Since then, Clover doesn't show up at boot.
So I tried booting on my hackintosh install USB drive, Clover shows up, I select my hackintosh drive (HFS+).
The macOS apple appears and a bar loads like the first 4th millimeters and the whole...
