[Solved] USB 3.1 ASMedia issue in Big Sur installation
Hello @Feartech I installed Big Sur release in my system (z97-hd3) using a USB pen drive and it went smoothly. The only issue so far is that the USB 3.1 ASmedia 2142 controller pcie card is not loaded and the USB 3.1 external disk is not recognized as such when connected. Attached are some pictures, ioreg, and my efi folder (excluding themes and docfolders). It seems that Apple has replaced Asmedia2142 by Asmedia3142 in some lines of the AppleUSBXHCIPCI kext plug-in...

GIGABYTE GA-H55-USB3 Pro Tools HD Build!
First hackingtosh build. So far I have most of my parts (below) and I chose the H55 to build my Pro Tools HD3 rig but HD1 for a few months. The purpose of this guide is to provide a step-by-step guide to install Mojave, High Sierra, Sierra, or El Capitan on the Kaby Lake Intel NUC7 series Intel NUC mini computers. How about the H series chipset?
I'm about to build a new setup, the problem I'm facing is that parts are scarce where I live, I can´t find Intel series 400, most of what I found are from the 300 series.

Catalina installation partition problem
I was trying to install macos catalina in a "strange" way I'd say. I don't have any usb available so I grabbed a second ssd and installed it with a dvd caddy. Anyway I partitioned this second ssd creating an 8GB fat32 partition and used dortania's diskpart guide. I left a 111GB exfat partition. Macos installation booted and disks showed up. I'm trying to install macos on the 111GB partition but when I try to erase it, it says error and the the partition unmounts and wont mount again if I...

From 5104 to 5128 no success
I'm on Catalina and prior updating to BigSur I want to update to the new clover version.
I've tried various options:
Installing a clean clover 5128 into a second EFI partition. I see the choose screen and When I want to start booting macOS Catalina it only shows the Apple logo but does not continue. In verbose mode it says

[HIGH SIERRA] Missing MacOs boot options in Clover after linux update
Hi, I have a strange problem, when I reboot I see only Windows and Ubuntu in Clover.
Didn't change anything in Clover directory, HFSPlus.efi is in place but I think grub made some damage. I have a copy of EFI folder and tried a visual "diff" but I cannot see any difference.
In Linux, I see the Clover option with efibootmgr. I am attaching the output of efibootmgr -v
Any idea?
