Change macOS build version

After the High Sierra 10.13.6 installation fro some reason I have 17G2208 build.
How to change this build to another one?
Manually downloading and installing update of another version does nothing, the build remains the same.

So I think some of you may experience the same issue with me when trying to make the UHD630 work on your laptop with 4K display.

You may find that a kernel panic happens after the gIOConsoleUser line, due to division by zero.

The kernel panic report may look like this.

Hey guys,

I know this forum isn't meant for genuine Mac hardware, but I'm unsure of where to ask.

I have a Macbook Pro 13-inch, Mid 2012 on 14.3, bluetooth: Broadcom 20702A3 Firmware: v156 c5914

The vanilla bluetooth kexts/module on macOS are known to be fairly buggy - I can hardly use bluetooth devices due to it cutting out, skipping, etc. which happens randomly.

Does anyone know where I can get some non-vanilla kext/module that would solve the issue? Or point me to somewhere I could...

UHD 620 can't fully drive

I can't get UHD620 worked on my laptop.
I tried all the methods I could find, even I found the EFI file from bakgds of the same model as me.
But none of them can work for me.
There are two cases:
1. can't boot in to system. I believe that I am stuck in the last sentence. See image.
And once I closed the lid, I found my screen black.(I tried EDID but no change)
2. I tried to change...

I have two computers connected to dual displays. A regular PC is connected to the monitors via DisplayPort. My hackintosh is connected to the monitors via HDMI. This is the "Orange Monster" build listed in my signature. I'll be using the hack on both displays and then switch over to the regular PC every now and then by changing the input select on the monitors. I've recently upgraded to Mojave. Twice in the past two weeks, when I've switched the monitors back to the hackintosh input...

hi everybody and thanks as allways for your help, i'm going to install high sierra on 2° hackintosh ( ex 1° ).

Main hardware:

tuf gaming z390-pro
i7 9700k
msi gtx1080
32 gb ram

i'm gong to do dual boot with windows 10 as i did for my first build.
do i have just to follow the install for high sierra with unibeast and post with multibeast on this guide ?

I'm planning on buying:

I5 8400 $193
Gigabyte z370 HD3P $110

What are your recommendations about it?
Is this motherboard problematic when hackintoshing, should I look for another one?
I've seen many builds using Z370N Wifi, I didn't opt for that because I want a board that will be easy to maintain and upgrade.

[FIXED] I'm trying to install El Capitan on my new computer: Acer Aspire E5-573G-590R

Intel Core i5 (5th Gen) 5200U / 2.2 GHz (Turbo 2.7 GHz) Dual Core
NVIDIA GeForce 920M - 2 GB DDR3 VRAM (and integrated Intel Graphics)
RAM: 4GB
Bios is set to boot in UEFI

Can anyone help me? I'm getting this error:

Framebuffer patching in Mojave
Binary patching framebuffers using KextsToPatch in Clover is no longer a viable method in Mojave for Skylake and above. Now you need to use Lilu + WhateverGreen.

Not just for Mojave
This method of framebuffer patching is not only required for Mojave we recommend it for all previous and future releases of macOS.

Coffee Lake Users
Please note that the new WhateverGreen will not work with fake Kaby Lake...

Hi there..
The problem I faced is that last night I shutdown the hackintosh properly and put laptop into the bag, today morning when I tried to start laptop it does not show up..

Laptop is working fine since 1 year with hackintosh, Currently Mojve 10.14.2 updated when it was released and was working everything perfectly

When I turn on laptop it only shows laptop logo and nothing happens, I tried booting from my backup efi usb but not working..

any clover bootloader that i have, is not...

Hello, after getting my desktop running well with OSX and Windows now I will try with an abandoned Asus G74Sx to do the same.
Currently it has an Intel 480Gb SSD 520 with a partition for each. Windows 7 pro is installed and running smoothly, the other partition is at the moment an empty exfat one. I have a Western Blue 1Tb for data to install later as the second disk.
I read the faqs from Yosemite to High Sierra as it seems I can run any of them, but Can someone suggest me the best one to...

Background
In 2006 the Mac bug hit me when I bought a Mac Mini Solo for $350 and installed it in my car (immediately replaced the processor with a core duo, lol). In 2007, I decided to Hackintosh my Dell laptop to Jailbreak and unlock the original 8GB iPhone. Getting deployed I decided to buy a MacBook for my wife (long distance troubleshooting with my wife is not the business ). The rest is history. My 2012 MacBook Pro Retina is getting dated and it's time for me to part ways...
