Can't complete High Sierra installation - Asus Laptop

Hello,

System specs:
Asus ROG Strix Scar GL703GM (Clover)
i7-8750H/HM370
NVIDIA GTX 1060/1920x1080
16GB (1x16GB) DDR4 2666MHz SO-DIMM Memory
256GB Certified M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD
1TB SSHD Seagate FireCuda Gaming Hybrid Drive

I am trying to install High Sierra to the SSD. Everything goes well up until the initial installation. The installer will get "About 2 minutes remaining" and then the computer will suddenly reset. I checked "Don't reboot on panic" in the Clover options but it reboots...

Hello everyone!
To start, this is my first Hackintosh build so please bare with me. I have successfully installed Hackintosh on this machine:
-MSI Z170A M5 Gaming
-16GB Crucial Ram
-i7 6700K
-EVGA GTX 1080 FTW (86 Model)
-2TB Hard drive (half for Mac, the other half for windows)

Aside from the quick start UEFI, I have the following installed from Unibeast:
-NVIDIA WEB GRAPHICS
-E2200 Ethernet Driver (latest version)
-Audio ALC1150 and 100 and 200

Sound, internet and graphics are working...

Why should we use the `Other` folder and not 10.14 or so?

I'm new to hackintoshing and am looking to upgrade from my 2009 mac mini, I am in the process of buying parts for a PC build because I want something I can do gaming on and also use various windows software but I think i'd like to continue using Mac OS X, i'm pretty underwhelmed with Apple's current hardware that's available so i'm considering going the hackintosh route, perhaps having a PC with two hard drive's and SSD's I can boot from to do either OS X or Windows.

Samsung 970 EVO M.2 NVME SSD

I picked up a Samsung 970 EVO m.2 NVME SSD 250GB for $109 US today. It works well in High Sierra.

It is rated at 2500 read and 1500 write. But I'm getting 2900 read and 1400 write.
The 500GB model specs at 3500 read and 2500 write. This is a great buy and its actually less expensive than the 960 EVO M.2 drives.

This is a continuation of a guide from the sierra section updated for mojave.

v2:
- Removed VerbStub
- added SSDT-ALC256.aml and codec commander to address the combo jack.

Mojave v1:
- Updated the kexts, now using whatevergreen, applealc, and VerbStub.
- Added sdcard kext.

Not yet working:
  • Stock Wi-fi
  • Nvidia Optimus
Prerequisites:

BCM94352Z NGFF WiFi card for wifi. (Clover config includes a patch)

Most recent BIOS 1.2.9 is compatible....

Quicklook Doesn't Preview jpgs, mp3 nor mp4.

Hi there, I did an upgrade and installation went fine. Upon some initial testing I noticed that Quicklook did not preview jpgs, mp3 and mp4. It just showed a spinner. The preview app only displays pdfs but not jpgs. Is anyone else having this issue?

RX 580 and triple 4K

Hello

i've got a perfect setup with high sierra, and triple 4K screen on GTX 980, at 60hz.

Since there is no webdriver for GTX on mojave, i'm looking to switch to RX580

I found this one : Gigabyte RX580 AORUS 8GB with triple display port.


Does any one has made it to run triple 4K screen at 60hz with Mojave with this card ?

With another card ?

I need 3 display ports by the way

Nvidia has already released web drivers for Mojave long time ago but Apple is holding the release. Nvidia web drivers need signature from apple to release and Lord Apple can hold for months or forever as they did with high sierra web drivers. Apple is holding these web drivers updates so people are forced to buy Mac hardware instead of custom builts.

UPDATE 2 : Metal 2(Similar to DirectX12 on Windows) is replacing the OpenGL on MacOS. So in future, you can expect gaming performance of MacOS...

Overview

The purpose of this guide is to provide a step-by-step guide to installing Mojave, High Sierra, Sierra, El Capitan, or Yosemite on the ProBook/EliteBook/Zbook equipped with Intel graphics.

I have my HP EliteBook 8470p with i5 3360m ,intel hd graphics 4000 . I would buy a second hard disk where instal on mac os sierra. In order to not lost my money buying other hard disk i would know if anyone has already made hackintosh on this laptop and if it work at 100%? I would say what advices follow to create my hackintosh.

I had this issue from Sierra, since then i were using el capitan and i had no such issues. but since i wanted to upgrade this time this issue arrived again. i have INTEL HD 4400 and this issue is related to the graphic card that's all i have found from looking at threads over the internet. I have tried lilu, intel graphic fixup and even kext to patch frame buffer method. nothing seems to work. (Note: i am using dell inspiron 3542,can't disable internet graphics because i have no external gpu.

Hey guys just wanted to let you know I managed to get Mojave running damn near perfectly on a Lenovo Thinkpad T450. Model start with 20BVxxxx its got the 5th gen i7 5600u, 16 GB ddr3, Intel HD 5500, 500 GB SSD. Its also got an upgraded 1080P display that I put in last year because that size isn't standard on the T450 and it works just fine. Most important part though is that I didn't't have to mod my bios at all in order to get it up and running. I tried with Sierra and High Sierra while...

Hi,
I have a weird problem that I hope someone can help with.
I've been successfully running a High Sierra build for about 9 months now (Gigabyte GA-Z270P-D3, i5 Kaby Lake, integrated Intel HD graphics (620?), SSD, 8GB RAM)
All of a sudden this week, it has stopped booting properly. What happens is:
  1. Power on
  2. Clover boot menu, select boot OSX
  3. Apple logo and progress bar
  4. Progress bar gets to 100%
  5. Black screen
(normally, step 5 is the regular OSX logon screen)...

Hello all,

I am new to this community and new to hackintoshing in general. I just built a new machine to use as a hackintosh. The machine is as below

Gigabyte H370 HD3 motherboard with ALC887 audio codec
i5 8400
1 TB SSD
16 GB RAM
On-board Intel 630 GPU for graphics

I managed to get Mojave up using the vanilla install guide and have my ethernet working as well. The issue that I am running into is getting my darn onboard audio to work.

I have followed the AppleHDA Realtek guide but still...

This is a guide for the Dell XPS 13 9343 (2015 Model), it is a work in progress but the information contained should get you to a working install of macOS.
