Mavericks to Sierra

Hello at all. I've a working Mavericks on my laptop. If i try to update to Sierra (or El Capitan) under update from App Store, the system, after reboot, don't start.
There is some way to install Sierra from USB using my working DSDT.aml, kext and config.plist?
