[SOLVED] Siri not working (trouble with the connection)

Hey everybody,

I'm having trouble getting Siri to work on macOS Sierra (GM). I remember it working for just a short while on the first developer beta but after that never again. Now Siri keeps spitting out "Sorry, I'm having trouble with the connection. Please try again in a moment.".

All basic functions (sound, mic, network) are working flawlessly. When I googled I just found one occurrence of someone with the same issue where apparently changing the SMBIOS to MacPro6,1 helped, but my...
