Nvidia web driver - No sound device

Hi! Please forgive me for this noob question. Isn't Nvidias web driver I use for my Geforce GTX 960 supposed to provide sound through Displayport and HDMI? Does my motherboard (Z170i) too need the correct driver and settings for audio to work when I connect hdmi/Displayport to my discrete GPU?

I currently see no audio devices in System Preferences apart from my Apple TV.
