Mavericks & Windows 8 on same drive without erasing

So all I have to do is shrink my current windows volume (lets call it M), put in my clover usb, open disk utility from the mac install, partition M as mac os extended (journaled) and then install it right on that partition right, and Im done right?

Also, clover wont like erase my current boot manager or anything; ill only be able to run clover when the usb is in, right?

My drive is already GPT
